This work reflects on a chapter of my life at the age of 20, a period that left deep emotional scars for many months. That night, in the apartment I shared with my partner, we had a violent argument that spiralled out of control. I lost emotional control, and they resorted to physical force to restrain me.
In the months that followed, the emotional wounds lingered. They grew heavier over time, distorting my sense of self and shaping me into someone who feared connection, intimacy, and trust.
Now, having found the courage to look back, I am ready to confront the shadows that once haunted me. I begin to feel life again, to be present, as I learn to step into the unknown, one step at a time.
