Music is a universal language of feelings and a profound art form of aesthetic value. The different genres correlate to various stages of life; a way to make sense of within and without– circumstances, events, relationships, trials and tribulations.
Nguyen Duc Anh, a young instrumentalist, began his musical journey from the age of four. Under the mentorship of his grandfather, Duc Anh revealed his talent and determination to pursue violin. However, the journey was not easy as he left home at the age of eight to study in the city. Periods of lost creative inspiration, falling into doubt and stagnation. Duc Anh experimented with rock music, searching for liberation through powerful sounds. For a time, he still could not find freedom and peace within the rock genre, until he picked up the violin again and played those first notes that guided him back to his grandfather; simpler times of innocence, passion and pure.
From then on, Duc Anh realized the true value of life and developed a desire to pass on his precious musical experiences to the next generation, just as his grandfather once did. This turning point allowed him to understand the essential value of music in his own life.
